If
you are interested in learning more about wine, you’ll
love Carlow Cookery’s wine classes. In addition to tasting
wines from a featured area or varietal, our wine experts will
teach you about each wine, it’s charecteristics and
how to judge quality. As you taste each wine you'll
be able to ask questions or make comments about the style
of the wine. This interactive session takes place in
our casual and comfortable in-store demonstration area.
Food
(hors d’oeuvres and light main course) is served during
the course of the evening. Classes begin at 7:00 p.m.

Reds from France and California
Friday,

Join our
wine expert as he guides you through four of the best
varietals from both France and California. The night
begins with Syrah from France. You'll then taste Pinot
Noir, Merlot and Cabernet side-by-side to compare
and contrast how wine producers from each country
treat the same grape. We finish with uniquely American
offering - red zinfandel. Along the way you'll enjoy
four courses of food designed to complement the wine.
Whether you just love fine wine or are out for Valentine's
Day, this class is a great way to celebrate.
